Dollar Stores are a great place to pick up affordable Easter
items. Particularly candy. Which is a must have. What children don’t know is
that basket, though delivered by the
Easter Bunny… can be quite costly. The
contents come from your shelf, so where you shop to buy them, is important. And
probably like you, I used to spend major
cash at the holidays for confections at the big box stores. But not anymore. They’ve gotten too expensive. From
jellybeans, circus peanuts, cotton
candy, chocolate and peanut butter bunnies, crosses and the like… you can walk
away with everything you need for pennies at a Dollar store. They sell NAME
brands too. This close to Easter they may be low on inventory. But there are
still bargains to be found. So scout
them out. I usually get baskets to repurpose for Easter, from the thrift
stores. But the Dollar stores have them too. And in this day and age of Covid
and the pandemic, perhaps you want to buy new.
It’s your call. But remember you don’t have to spend a fortune. Dollar
stores also have an abundance of little tchotchkes… that are usually no more
than a dollar or two. And they are sitting on shelves, just begging to come
home and light up someone’s day. Enjoy your holiday and remember you can be
thrifty everyday. There are plenty of stores that cater to
a budget friendly
crowd.
I'm kicking myself -- for not having discovered the Dollar Stores years ago. Matter of fact, I'm deaded there tomorrow to find some faux tulips -- since the real thing doesn't seem to exist in my corner of the world. Can I get you anything? (*grin*)
ReplyDelete"headed there" I mean! Silly fat fingers.
DeleteGood luck on your shopping expedition. I'm all set, thanks. I think I've been in our Dollar stores more than home since Thanksgiving. LOL Hope you find your faux tulips. I love tulips too. I was able to nab some poppies for Easter for friends graves.
