Thrift stores are always the place to take a trip down memory lane, aren't they?
One of the first gifts my husband ever bought me was a long burgandy leather coat.
It was definitely cool. And very expensive. And my oh my, how I loved that coat.
Back in the 70's leather and suede coats were all the rage. And they still are.
It's a style that NEVER changes.
Stores like Montgomery Ward sold leather.
They had their own label called The Tannery.
I recently saw a coat from there and got a tad bit nostalgic.
It only cost $7.50.
A bargain for sure by today or yesterdays standards.
Oh my goodness, I totally forgot about The Tannery! (Son's father used to sell carpet for 'Monkey Wards')
ReplyDeleteYou've a good eye for the classics, m'dear. :)
Looks like it is in pretty good condition too! I don't remember the label The Tannery, but I do remember Montgomery Ward's.
